Since the 1990s numerous scholars have highlighted a variety of diverse and complex issues impacting the education of Black males. Interestingly however, the public discourse about Black males in the news media and educational discourse tend to still report the experiences of Black males in one dimensional ways, not accounting for the complexity of Black males’ lives. Therefore, in response to this issue, the authors of this proposal have developed a website that houses over 700 articles about Black males in schools. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the content of the site as a way to shape the public conversation about African American male education.
