This presentation is concerned with the development of mathematics teaching in alignment with the Equity Principle from the Principles and Standards of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Modules from TEACH Math were analyzed for how they afforded teachers opportunities to learn to teacher math equitably and in accordance with their underlying frameworks: funds of knowledge and culturally responsive/relevant teaching. The major finding is that the modules prompted varying levels of teacher to community engagement but the level of deep engagement was prompted less often than shallow engagement, which can undermine the equity principle.
