Session Summary

30.075 - The Meta-Analysis of Single-Subject Experimental Design Data: Methodological Challenges and Approaches

Fri, April 28, 12:25 to 1:55pm, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Floor: Meeting Room Level, Room 221 D

Session Type: Structured Poster Session

Abstract

Single-subject experimental designs (SSEDs) are increasingly used in educational research to evaluate intervention effects. With the increase of published SSED studies, also the interest for the meta-analysis of SSED studies has grown. The aim of the session is to share findings of recent methodological research on the meta-analysis of SSED data and promote further discussion and collaboration between research teams on remaining challenges. This session consists of twelve posters, one giving a systematic overview of the way SSED studies were reviewed the last three decades, five focusing on the calculation of effect sizes and their precision, three on meta-analytic models for SSED data and three aimed at aiding researchers to set up reasonable SSED studies or meta-analyses.
