Session Type: Roundtable Session
This session aims at providing theoretical concepts and empirical evidence for work conditions which supports learning from errors and near misses at workplaces. The contributions comprise empirical studies investigating different aspects of learning from errors and near misses in order to analyze the broad scope of this issue. By discussing strategies of detecting errors, knowledge resulting from error experiences, competence of dealing with errors and individual beliefs influencing the way of dealing with errors, this symposium provides a comprehensive examination of an unavoidable aspect of daily working life: Human fallability.
