Session Type: Symposium
In this session, four public scholars share projects designed to encourage research co-construction and use in education. The projects extend what we know about research use in schools and districts to the work of parents, local education partnerships, and funders of education change – critical influences in education policy construction and practice. A public scholar with experience in private foundations and urban planning will facilitate dialogue across the scholars and with session attendees to surface and examine questions about power, voice, legitimacy, and collaboration in education research co-construction and use. The session will be structured to facilitate interactive dialogue and debate.
