This session brings together a set of papers that interrogate the impact of neoliberal education reforms on students who experience multiplied effects of structural disadvantages at the intersection of dis/ability, race, and economic means. The objectives of this session are to (a) investigate the role of neoliberal urban education reform in perpetuating old, generating new, or mitigating inequities at the intersection of dis/ability, race, and class; (b) examine how social actors (i.e., students, parents, teachers, and administrators) experience and respond to neoliberal education reforms.
