Session Type: Working Group Roundtable
This working round table session will privilege the voices of students with disabilities as they were included in K-12 and college science classrooms. Four different narratives in progress will be presented representing multi-dimensional diversity and school experiences: paper 1: Inclusion “In Sight”: Students’ Perspectives on Inclusion in the Science Classroom; paper 2: A Good Teacher Makes Science Light-Hearted: Experiences in Learning Science from Alejandro; paper 3: Looking Through the Window to Help Teach Others: Science Stories of Three Young Women: and paper 4: Tanglde in Tetx: What I Want You to Know about My Dyslexic Self. This session seeks to build a research network for researchers interested in promoting the voices of students with disabilities in education.
