Session Type: Symposium
This session includes three empirical presentations that feature investigations undertaken in multiple countries to enhance pre-service and in-service teachers’ knowledge of technology integration. The development of teachers’ Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework is investigated through a variety of assessment techniques (e.g. video), in varied contexts (e.g. game-based learning), and in combination with other empirical models (e.g. Synthesis of Qualitative Evidence (SQD) model, Dynamic Systems Model of Role Identification (DSMRI). This spectrum of TPACK applications showcase what teachers’ knowledge of technology looks like in action, how it can be nurtured for novice and veteran teachers, and the impact programmatic strategies can have on their identities as teachers who facilitate learning with technology. The session includes remarks from a discussant.
