Session Type: Symposium
Adaptive learning in recent years has become a major topic in both research and educational practice. This topic has a long history and is a subject of both intense research and product development. Yet, there are many unanswered questions as to viability and benefits.
This symposium will focus on three major approaches: Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS), Learning Analytics (BIG DATA) and Automated Human Tutors. After presentations focusing on each of these approaches, the symposium will be opened up to discussions among the presenters, discussants, and audience.
These presentations will be followed by comments and questions from a panel of experienced investigators representing a variety of views.
