Session Type: Symposium
The objective of this symposium is to highlight different research-practice partnerships in the context of early learning, to understand how they are structured, the types of research they produce, and how they contribute to strengthening early learning programs. Panelists will include researchers as well as practitioners who have brought major preschool programs to scale, including North Carolina’s birth-through-preschool programs, New York City’s universal preschool program, Oklahoma’s universal preschool program, and Washington’s preschool and child care programs. Through a moderated discussion, the panelists will present how they have either produced or used scholarly research in a way that strengthens the quality of early learning programs, particularly those designed to meet the needs of diverse populations.
