Session Type: Symposium
Currently, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is investigating the inclusion of Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), also known as the Nation’s Report Card. To inform the discussions and investigations of including CPS in NAEP, NCES convened a panel of CPS and assessment experts. The purpose of the panel discussions was to identify the considerations that will need to be addressed if CPS is incorporated in NAEP. The panelists that participated in these discussions are finalizing a white paper summarizing these considerations and implications for NAEP. This symposia session will outline these considerations and seek input from members of AERA on the potential inclusion of CPS in NAEP.
