Session Type: Symposium
This symposium is an attempt to break from the blindness, self-censorship, and conformity of the qualitative/Quantitative binary and to end the trauma once and for all caused by binary thinking; putting to rest the lingering effects of positivism and the fantasy of controlled environments, disentangled phenomenon, inert matter, universal and rational men, conformist protocols, stifling methodologies, and mythical apolitical actors both human and non-human.
Rhetoric and Echoes: Beyond Qualitative (Post) Nexts - Walter S. Gershon, Kent State University
Stone Walks: Inhuman Animacies and Queer Archives of Feeling - Sarah E. Truman, University of Toronto - OISE; Stephanie Springgay, OISE/University of Toronto
Philosophy of Education as "Pre-Qualitative" Research - Samuel Rocha, The University of British Columbia
More Haunting Revelations: Race, Rememory, and Storytelling - Denise M. Taliaferro Baszile, Miami University
