Session Type: Symposium
Achieving the Promise of Equal Educational Opportunity requires all educators and leaders to work towards a deeper understanding and true valuing of Latino communities, to ensure they are recognizing the true potential and drawing upon the cultural assets of Latino communities. This symposium will provide three research-based collaborations and publication efforts that are shaping and guiding the field on Latino educational leadership. The first reflects the efforts by the National Latino Leadership Project with a series of publications on school leadership. The second reflects a call to theoretically inform and enhance Latino education leadership across the P-20 pipeline. The last calls for scholars to consider critically informed practices and research using testimonios from the field for Latino educational leadership.
