Session Type: Workshop
In this workshop, organizers and participants will focus on creating a “hybridized” community of practice related to teaching, research and service conducted by faculty and students within the field of educational psychology. Using goals of the Teaching Educational Psychology Special Interest Group (TEP SIG) and research related to communities of practice as our foundation, we will stimulate conversation and action related to how to create a mentoring program through the lens of professional development that will support our work as research professionals. Outreach efforts will utilize experienced faculty within educational psychology as well as graduate students and early career faculty to form non-hierarchical and collaborative partnerships that will serve as support for activity in all areas of the academe.
