Session Type: Symposium
This symposium is comprised of educational scholars and practitioners who have developed and implemented college access programs for underrepresented students and communities. Attendees will engage with questions related to Latina/o educational pathways to higher education, while considering pathways models, college fairs, and organizational structures and theories that impact the success of historically underrepresented students. Framing the session will be data from a community-based college fair that has been held over the last two years in inner city San Antonio. Alternative models for college access and information, and strategies for putting knowledge into action will be centered.
