Session Type: Poster Session

Abstract

This project examines universal library access in Washington, D.C. by conducting a geospatial analysis of library location, social and economic contextual factors, and student achievement. Framed around issues of neighborhood change and access to the Internet, computers, and technology (ICT) for young people, I document how patterns of library location intersect with race and class and impact new media literacy.
