Join us for a conversation and reception with Texas Poet Laureate Dr. Carmen Tafolla.
A renowned storyteller, performance artist, and professor of bicultural and bilingual studies, Dr. Tafolla will address the connections between poetry, multilingualism, and multiculturalism within today’s educational climate for children. Dr. Tafolla is the author of more than 20 books for children and adults and is the recipient of the prestigious Americas Award, five International Latino Book Awards, two Tomas Rivera Book Awards, two ALA Notables, the Charlotte Zolotow Award, and the Art of Peace Award.
