Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
This session, jointly sponsored by the International Academy of Education and Division D of AERA, focuses on educational inequality among wealthy and poor in high (U.S.)-, medium- and low-income countries. Sean Reardon keynotes the session describing his recent methodological research on identifying education gaps. Identifying gaps is but a first step. What matters is closing the gaps. Consequently focus shifts internationally to research on impactful educational interventions in low- and middle-income countries: Elliot Friedlander (Rwanda), Alejandra Mizala (Chile, South America), and Doug Willms (PISA for Development countries).
