Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
The session brings together papers that focus on teaching and learning and are based on research in Chile and Barbados. Two of the papers are centred on higher education students: How they learn to explain scientific concepts later to be taught in classrooms (Chile) and how students learn through enacting in their university contexts activity forms of teaching and learning (Barbados). A third paper presents results of a mixed-methods study on teacher learning through informal school collaboration in three geographical regions of Chile.
