Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
The session is designed as a venue for former AERA presidents to offer perspectives and insights on the 2017 theme, Knowledge to Action: Achieving the Promise of Equal Educational Opportunity. Presidents from the past three decades will provide brief commentaries on the issues raised in the theme and the role AERA can play in shaping the future of educational research. By situating former struggles and their complexities, former presidents will discuss the challenges and promises inherent within educational research, practice, policy.
