Abstract

Building on a Community Cultural Wealth framework, we seek to identify and understand the mechanisms through which to better support first-generation students and their families as they progress out of their first year in college. Through in depth interviews with families, we analyze the transitions families undergo and the ways universities can partner with families after students have completed their first year in college.
