Mixed methods study analyzed the relationship between secondary pre-service teachers’ content knowledge and lesson objectivization. By lesson objectivization we mean pre-service teacher’s ability to identify objectives of the lesson they observe/ watch. Pre-service teachers (N=15) were tested using teacher content knowledge survey before watching a video of mathematics lesson. After the video they wrote a narrative addressing objectives of the lesson. Three teachers were selected for a follow-up interview. The study result revealed that ability to identify expert objectives in lessons is significantly associated with participants’ content knowledge (Pearson’s r=.6159, p<.05).
