As an emerging scholar, I was obviously undergoing a professional transformation; I was undergoing personal transformation as well—I was in need of space and time to explore/recover who “I” was. However, I continuously found myself in in-between spaces, which were in constant movement and negotiation. Thus, this paper pulls from post- theoretical concepts, such as in-between-ness, assemblage, entanglements, transpositions, and becoming (Barad, 2007; Braidotti, 2006; 2013; Deleuze & Guattari, 1987), to explore new ways of knowing/being/doing in the world and of conducting research, with implications for educational research and graduate student training. What if we could all enter and work from this in-between space? What newness would be produced? What material consequences would it have on the world?
