The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of educational application (e-apps) integration on students’ technology literacy. A purposeful sample of 5th grade core subject teachers at 19 Title I elementary schools in a large school district in southeast Texas were solicited to respond to the online Educational Apps Categories and Usage Survey and to participate in semi-structured interviews. The TechLiteracyAssessment (TLA) was administered to all 5th grade students to assess students’ technology literacy. Findings indicated higher technology literacy scores in specific technology literacy were reflective of integrating educational apps in certain categories. Lack of time, resources, training, and support were among the perceived challenges and barriers that impeded the effectiveness of e-apps integration.
