This study examines long-term effects of the home visiting program HIPPY on students from low-income, mostly Latino families (n = 254). Secondary data analyses tested for intervention effects on reading and math achievement in an urban school district. Growth curve modeling compared achievement of participants and non-participants from the same district, who were of a similar income level, English fluency, and ethnicity. Participation in home visiting showed significant effects on reading and math achievement. In addition, home visiting effects did not fade over time.
