Learning Through Our Stories: A Co/Authoethnographic Study of Supervision

Sun, April 15, 2:45 to 4:15pm, Sheraton New York Times Square, Floor: Second Floor, Metropolitan East Room

Abstract

This co/autoethnographic self-study allowed two international doctoral students and a faculty member to explore their experiences with and conceptions of supervision within teacher education. Data collection involved writing narrative autobiographical narratives, engaging in reflective conversations, and analyzing artifacts. Findings relate to the interconnections between our experiences with teaching and supervision within varied cultural contexts and our conceptualizations of supervision.
