Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the leadership pipeline for mid-career faculty members in a consortium of 13 liberal arts colleges. We examined faculty members’ aspirations to take on academic leadership roles and the extent to which they felt prepared for such roles. Our goal is to provide insights into the leadership pipeline in higher education as a step towards improving how future institutional leaders are prepared and supported.
