Climate change is one of the greatest social and ecological justice issue of the century. Thus climate change education should aim to support learners in grappling with how to address climate change. This study explores the role that climate change solutions played in making climate change education more relevant and meaningful for students in an informal environmental science education context. Findings suggest that incorporating solutions provided purpose and hope for students in learning about climate change and presented opportunities for the uptake of student ideas in this learning environment. Findings also point to the importance of focusing on and/or incorporating climate change solutions as students learn about climate change in other informal and formal learning contexts.
