Session Type: Symposium
Though we are approximately eight years into the adoption of the Common Core State Standards and other college and career readiness (CCR) standards, few have rigorously studied the implementation of these standards at both the macro level of all 50-states and the micro level of the classroom, and with an emphasis on students with disabilities (SWDs) and English language learners (ELLs). We fill this void by presenting a series of case studies, longitudinal studies, and intervention studies to answer three central questions: (1) How are CCR standards implemented in five of our partner states, (2) Do the standards improve student learning across the nation, and (3) What instructional tools measure and support the implementation of the standards?
