Session Type: Symposium
These projects demonstrate sustainable models for teacher preparation programs to incorporate opportunities for their teacher candidates to practice engaging with families. In different ways, all three projects adapted simulations to be resource sensitive, allowing any teacher preparation program to include content about family engagement. Presenters will also describe ways that educators teach practices that support teacher candidates to learn about, uncover, and use knowledge about culture, community and families in teaching.
