Abstract
Introduction to Infographics and Data Visualization is an applied course that introduces educator participants to design principles and techniques for effective data visualization focusing on qualitative data. Visualizations graphically depict data to foster communication, improve comprehension and enhance decision-making. This course will help educators at all levels not only learn to create their own visualizations to communicate complex educational issues but it will also give them the opportunity to begin to learn how to teach data visualization techniques to their own classes.
