This symposium regards education as it is evidenced within and around the intersecting spaces between social media and the classroom. We present teachers’ conceptualization of social media, the evolution of educational discourse within and across social networks on Twitter, and delve into the connection of cloud to class, examining teachers’ engagement and enactment of instructional resources accessed on virtual resource pools. Discussion will consider perspectives and methodological approaches to researching teacher knowledge and practice mediated by social media.
