Session Type: Symposium
The purpose of this symposium is not only to present new quantitative methods that can be used for analyzing the types of social network data collected in education, we also want to help researchers think through how to analyze their data. Thus, the symposium will consist of a series of short talks by four presenters followed by a panel discussion in which attendees can ask questions about social network models from our four experts. We will also have some demonstrations (where we address a series of hypothetical FAQ) if the audience chooses not to ask questions.
A Comparison of Statistical Network Models - Qiwen Zheng, University of Maryland - College Park
Alternative Estimation Methods for Identifying Contagion Effects in Dynamic Social Networks: A Latent-Space Adjusted Approach - Ran Xu, Michigan State University
Longitudinal Latent Space Network Model With Vector Autoregressive (VAR) Evolution - Samrachana Adhikari, Harvard University
A Hierarchical Mixed Membership Stochastic Blockmodel for Mediation - Tracy Sweet, University of Maryland - College Park
