Session Type: Roundtable Session
The rapid pace of chance to teacher evaluation systems has created a hot button issue for educators in all curricular areas. How did we get where we are with teacher evaluation policies, and what do these policies mean for music education? This session will illuminate the topic from a variety of perspectives by synthesizing the presenters’ original scholarship on the topic. By offering short talks on pressing issues of music teacher evaluation, we will consider the significance of the evaluation process for music teachers, administrators, and teacher educators.
