Abstract

The Media, Culture, and Learning (MCL) business meeting will provide updates about SIG activities and administration throughout the 2017-18 academic year. Items on the MCL business meeting agenda will likely include: membership, with a focus on new members, lapsed members, and recruitment; finances, including current balance; election results and leadership roles, with a focus on adding a Program Chair-Elect to leadership team; the presentation of SIG awards, including, if awarded, Best Empirical Paper, Graduate Student Research Award, Travel Award, and Early Career Award; scholarly publication and networking opportunities; SIG communication and outreach; and other items per meeting attendees.
