Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
This symposium reports on a profession-led, joint initiative across three education associations in Australia – the Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE), the Australian Teacher Education Association (ATEA), and the Australian Council of Deans of Education (ACDE) (through the Community of Associate Deans Research in Education (cADRE)). The research project has provided a platform for the three associations to link education and teacher education research, policy and practice, and to respond to the current policy agendas in teacher education. The purpose of this session is to report on findings of the national research project, and to facilitate an open discussion about the findings, as well as the links and implications for teacher education internationally.
