This paper uses story to confront the realities that public education presents for Native students--that is entanglements with settler colonialism. Two emerging Indigenous scholars share personal narratives to map their migrations over land, time, and space showing the adaptations and resistances Indigenous peoples make to survive and thrive settler colonials systems like formal schooling and education.
