John Dewey, in his volumes, thoroughly discussed the concepts of “education,” “social control,” and “a creative democracy.” The present study explores an integration of these three concepts through the systems thinking approach. These concepts are reviewed to explore the integrated system as a way of life. The findings presented in this paper shows that the concepts of education, social control, and a creative democracy are embedded in each other leading to achieve a freer and more humane experience in which all share and to which all contribute. These findings have important implications on the future public systems reform efforts of creating inclusive, just, and fair living conditions for increasingly diverse society.
