Challenging the Dominant Narrative in Economics: Pluralism as an Alternative to Neoclassicism

Abstract

This study explores the way that preservice teachers conceptualize the dominant narrative of economics within social studies education. In particular, it focuses on the way that Pedagogical Content Knowledge and pluralist perspectives on economics might work to counter the dominant, neoclassical narrative within the discipline.
