Technology is a cornerstone of modern pedagogy for all students, including students with disabilities (SWD). However, there is little investigation into how SWD interact with mobile devices or the specific components of online lessons that support the learning of these students. The present study examined the impact of lessons delivered on a mobile device on the math achievement and engagement of SWD when compared to teacher-directed instruction. The results indicated no significant difference in math achievement between groups, although students were significantly more engaged in the teacher-led condition. Additionally, data indicated SWD accessed the digital lessons but did not complete the activities in all sessions. These findings have important implications for relevant design elements and effective delivery of online content.
