In this paper, we look at instances when preservice teachers reflected while viewing videos of their own teaching. Quantitative data were analyzed to discover the levels of reflection the preservice teachers engaged in when they used a video annotation platform to comment on videos of their own teaching. Findings show that the preservice teachers moved between several levels of reflection with some reaching a pedagogical and even a critical level of reflection. Results were then considered in order to create classroom engagements that allow preservice teachers to develop in their reflection of their own teaching.
