Beyond "Best" Practices: Using Evidence-Based Comparisons to Support Outcomes for Doctoral Students of Color

Abstract

“Best” practices are a foundation of any policy or programmatic decision. But, what constitutes best, and for whom are these practices best? By comparing nationally funded initiatives supporting graduate Students of Color, these findings move the conversation of best practices toward the alternative of evidence-based practices building a more diverse professoriate.
