Session Type: Symposium
This symposium will feature five studies related to teacher mobility and retention, conducted by Regional Educational Laboratory researchers in partnership with school districts and state departments of education. Each presenter will discuss their research and a step in the collaborative research process that consisted of setting a research agenda to address problems of practice, designing research, understanding available data and its limitations, preparing and analyzing data, enhancing stakeholder capacity, and disseminating results. Session participants will engage in discussions around conducting these types of analyses by drawing on findings and lessons learned from the studies presented on educator mobility or retention in states and cities across the United States.
