This panel focuses on contemplative pedagogies that enable teachers, learners and individuals to achieve deep learning, increase compassion, build intimate connection with nature, and gain new understanding about self and life, and grow holistically.
Embodiment of knowledge is a central concept in the papers of this panel. Authors share their efforts and strategies to explore internal wisdom through engaging ourselves beyond the rational mind. Contemplative pedagogies such as mindfulness, meditation, aikido, reflective journaling and relational teaching, help learners embody what they learn by integrating their body, heart, mind, and spirit.
