Abstract

As a result of globalization (i.e., increased access for members of developed nations to locations and markets around the world), the number of people living outside of their countries of citizenship is on the rise. Their numbers include people of varying socio-economic backgrounds and children of primary and secondary school age. Such circumstances raise questions about the kinds of educational resources to which students living abroad are entitled, especially for students whose countries of origin are committed to the provision of equal primary and secondary educational opportunities for all. The aim of this paper is to explore the conceptual space of educational justice-based issues that arise as a result of these changing circumstances.
