Abstract

Abstract
Towards a Collaborative Insurgent Feminist Epistemology

The call for disruptive pedagogies is an articulation of a rejection of colonial rules of law. Can insurgent approaches to historical documentation support the creation of an aligned disruptive curriculum? What is my responsibility as a non-Indigenous feminist adult educator engaging with Indigenous histories in the context of the colonial aspirations of the Canadian state? How are diverse communities of women positioned in relation to “ongoing processes of colonization and imperialism in a system governed by accumulation and profit?” (Rajan, 2018). These questions call for collaborative learning and knowledge production.
