Successful grant funding writing requires specific knowledge about foundations’ funding priorities. However, this knowledge is not evenly distributed, particularly among doctoral students and junior faculty affiliated to non-research-oriented colleges and universities. The purpose of this study is to empower graduate students and junior faculty with no access to mentors with funding experience with knowledge about pressing topics selected for funding in recent years. To achieve this purpose the study analyzed 10-years of funding information of agencies and foundations supporting education research and applied qualitative network analysis techniques to highlight these agencies’ priorities. Considering the salience of research grant funding for professional and academic advancement, this study is considered timely and relevant in the pursuit of “Multimodal Narratives to Democratize Evidence.”
