Sun, April 7, 9:55 to 11:25am, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Floor: 800 Level, Hall G

Abstract

This study explored the relationship between teacher self-efficacy in three domains, namely, task, interpersonal and organizational self-efficacy, and job satisfaction and occupational commitment. Results of path analysis from 1,471 primary and secondary teachers indicated that compared with task self-efficacy, interpersonal and organizational self-efficacy were more powerful predictors of teacher satisfaction and occupational commitment. The reasons for the findings are discussed.
