Studies of college student food insecurity have largely focused on establishing the prevalence of the problem on college and university campuses, and its resulting effects. This purpose of this qualitative, critical study adds to the growing body of research by re-centering Latinx students' voices within the conversation. In this study, I utilize Yosso's Community Cultural Wealth model to illuminate the forms of capital students experiencing food insecurity employ to help them navigate their college experience. Findings from this study explicitly values the experiences and communities of Students of Color, and in doing so, amplifies their assets to challenge the dominant deficit discourse to effect change within institutions.
