Comparing Black Youth Civic Achievement in Traditional Public Schools and Charter Schools in a Post-Truth Era

Abstract

Utilizing the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) data, this study examined whether significant differences exists in the 2014 NAEP civics results between Black youth enrolled in traditional public schools and charter schools. Results of the secondary analysis indicate no significant difference in Black Youth civic results across school types.
